Imagine Moving into your dream home in the middle of winter only to find that the central heating is not working and there is no hot water!

We have visited many such "lucky" home owners and after spending lots of money on so called "professional" surveys they were still left , literally in the cold. Home survey and even HIP Pack will not tell you if the boiler in the property is working correctly. Can you tell :

bullet will you know if the gas pressures are correct( you may not be able to use the boiler and hob or cooker at the same time if these are not correct)
bulletWhat if there is a gas leak in the property. You will not ALWAYS smell gas during your visit if the owners have just cooked an aromatic dinner. That lovely , homely smell of coffee may also camouflage a possible problem with your future drains
bulletWhat about those lovely gas fires? I bet you fell in love with them and imagined yourself snuggled in the winter by the fire. Not likely if the chimney is blocked or the fire has not been installed in accordance with regulations, There may not be a legal vent in the wall therefore you will not be able to use them at all.
